Active vacation, outdoor activities, outdoor actions - all these are synonyms for a new type of vacation or philosophy of mind and body regeneration, gaining popularity. We would say it is completely justified but still underrepresented in our country. An active holiday in Europe and the world is often something that we consider an expensive type of holiday not aimed at true nature lovers. But, for more than 20 years we have been successfully welcoming our guests to enjoy the most attractive outdoor activities, in the untouched and unique countryside that surrounds our Rafting Center Drina-Tara, with top equipment, service, traditional cuisine, and hospitality at a price lower than a standard seaside holiday.

Rafting Center Drina - Tara is the largest center of active vacation in Europe. It is practically impossible to find elsewhere everything we offer in one place - accommodation in more than 120 bungalows, with over 400 beds, all on the river bank, traditional cuisine for every meal throughout your stay, and outdoor activities that make our active holiday center unique. Our outdoor center 'Rafting Center Drina-Tara' is located in a perfect spot, on the river bank, with a terrace and restaurant overlooking the water, with a dock for rafting boats as all rafting tours end right here. Jeep safaris and hiking tours as well as tours with our ATV quads start from our center. We are located at a place where two national parks touch, the Durmitor National Park and the Sutjeska National Park, so the possibilities for visits and activities in nature are almost inexhaustible.

In our Rafting Center Drina-Tara, there is a natural estuary and a beach under the terrace of the restaurant, and in 2021 we will have a swimming pool built. We are also in the process of securing a location for Via Ferrata trails and one Free Climbing rock.

In our team, there are skippers (rafting guides), mountaineering guides, canyoning guides, jeep safari guides, ATV quad tours guides, AirSoft instructors, and wild waters lifeguards -all trained professionals.

What is an Active Holiday?

Active holiday consists of organized activities in nature, which include physical activities that have a positive effect on our physical and mental health. These physical activities are usually of mild intensity and do not require special physical fitness. Active rest is often recommended as a rehabilitation process.

Guided by the growing number of our guests’ requests to extend their stay for longer than 2-3 days, we have provided you with the opportunity to combine outdoor activities you want to do while staying with us.

P.S. On weekdays, there is way less crowd on the way to rafting and the river, the whole camp is more relaxed and everything is focused on your rest and enjoyment. Take advantage of the days of the week for an active holiday experience!

We organize rafting tours and all other activities in nature (hiking, Jeep safari, canyoning, quad rides, Zip Line ...) every day throughout the season! The season runs from late March to mid-October.
